London Defence Conference 2026
The London Defence Conference 2026 takes place in April. Attendance is by invitation only.
This is the fourth edition of the LDC – the geopolitical gathering for friendly countries drawing together leaders, policymakers, military, industry, academia and selected media – where the big questions on defence and security are addressed.
As well as the keynotes and panels on our main stage, there is also huge demand for side sessions and closed session roundtables.
In the evenings, our Chairman’s Dinner and our Director’s Dinner have become popular features of the LDC, although spaces are limited.
At the heart of the London Defence Conference is our relationship with King’s College London and its world-leading School of Security Studies.
The LDC is made possible with the backing of our headline sponsors and supporters.
Plus, our partnership network hosts leading research institutions and international think tanks. And the LDC SME Network is a hub of innovative, fast growing startups and mid-tier companies.

The theme for LDC 2025 was Alliances
While the West faces a growing threat of an increasingly connected China, Russia, Iran and North Korea, recent events have tested the strength of the transatlantic relationship and thrown into doubt mutually beneficial alliances that have been central to world order since 1945. This was the context as representatives from allies and friendly countries gathered in London to discuss military alliances old and new, rearmament, defence industrial transformation, shadow war, space, nuclear, and more.
Ahead of the conference, Neil Brown, a member of the LDC 2025 organising committee, mapped out the terrain and posed key questions in the framing document. Read more here.
